2nd Med-IAMER Stakeholder's consultation workshop

The Med-IAMER Project organizes its 2nd Stakeholders’ consultation “Trans-boundary mechanisms to mitigate environmental risks in the Mediterranean Sea” in the frame of the 4th MarinaMed Capitalization Seminar “Ports towards accessibility and sustainable maritime transport in the Mediterranean”. The consultation event proposes to contribute towards the goal of creating an informal regional multi-level and multi actor platform dealing with the key role of ports and the maritime transport sector. It does so through collecting regional stakeholders’ inputs on preliminary results of the Med-IAMER project. The session has an ecoregional focus and aims to improve the knowledge on the:

  • major drivers and pressures identified, with a special focus on maritime transport,
  • effectiveness of relevant policies and governance arrangements in place in insuring sustainable uses and environmental conservation,
  • data/indicators needs and gaps.

The session is in charge of opening stakeholders’ dialogues based on preliminary results of Med-IAMER and will be structured in an interactive way with presentations, discussions and Q&A settings. The session is co-organized by the University of Malaga and Plan Bleu with the support of the University of Thessaly and AVITEM.
